Black Snake Moan

Watched Black Snake Moan the other night, starring Samuel L. Jackson and Christina Ricci.  Very good movie, disturbing and thoughtful with some highly authentic performances.  Ricci is really a gem when she gets in the right role, and Jackson can always be counted on in just about anything he does.  I’ll post my review in a day or two.

    Dude, you’re gettin’ a Mac Pro. :D

I’m almost as excited as you are at this point, lol.

lol…you’re awesome, Bill. ;) You can be sure I’ll post pictures and all that good stuff. My three 1TB hard drives arrived today, so those are all set to go. (The boxes are emblazoned with how they’re all about PCs, but I see no reason they shouldn’t work with the Mac. I’ll find out soon enough…) The Dell 30″ is on the way as well, so everything should come together nicely in the same week.

Fed Ex tracking says the computer itself is due tomorrow, 7/17. Might be a good day to call it an early day from work… ;)

Let me know what you think of Black Snake Moan. Looked real interested but I’m wondering if the wife will like it.

It is very interesting. It creates a good “time and place” feel the way a good John Sayles film does. It is kind of dark, but is ultimately uplifting without being cheesy or relying on the “easy happy ending”. I’ll write a full review soon, but I don’t know if your wife will like it either – I don’t know her taste in movies. ;)

I’m thinking that if you have to ask…the answer is no. :(
